Observing the retail boom in India, Globus Stores Pvt. Ltd, the retail chain segment of Rajan Raheja Group, is contemplating to increase the number of exclusive stores from 18 to 50 with an investment of around Rs150 crore over next three years.
Subhash Chhabra, President of Globus Stores, while attending a retail conference said, "The Company would add 30-35 new stores to the existing 18 over the next three years. We will invest in a range of Rs4 to 4.5 crore on each store".
Each Globus' outlet covers an area of 10,000 to 12,000 square feet.
Chabbra also said that the company is also planning to open 10 to 15 stores every year for the next three years.
Globus mainly concentrates on women and kids wear segments but men’s apparel contributes around 25 to 30 per cent to its turnover.
Clothing range contributes nearly 90 percent of company’s profits and other 10 percent comes from the accessories.
