CHIC 2007, jointly organized by China National Garment Association, China World Trade Center Co Ltd and The Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT, closed with great success at China International Exhibition Center (CIEC), Beijing, on March 26, 2007. The show, again staged in two sessions, CHIC 2007 from March 18th-20th 2007 for Men • Casual • Accessories and CHIC 2007 from March 24th-26th 2007 for Women • Kids • Accessories, covered an exhibition space of 120,000 square meters and consisted of 18 product areas.
Over 1,000 exhibitors represented 17 countries and regions, that is, China (including Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR and Taiwan Province), Bangladesh, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Spain, Turkey and USA.
The Session for Men • Casual • Accessories attracted 410 exhibitors who displayed Classic Men’s Wear, Casual Wear, Sports Wear, Knit Wear, Jeans, Down Wear and Accessories and more than 54,000 trade visitors. Domestic brands are better developed with increasing input in creations. Men’s clothing is obviously becoming casual and fashionable.
Changes with the exhibiting brands were noticeable in series and specialty, catching the immediate attention of the targeted trade visitors. Bosideng, for example, showed no only its major down wear, but other brands as well.

Shanshan, who used to produce men’s clothing only, displayed garments for both men and women in the same hall this time. Such brands as Karbin, Hanwu and Daisite, contributed by a number of designers, well elaborated the “original Chinese elements of fashion”. Meanwhile, some local Chinese companies jointly exhibited with their overseas partners.
Tebu of Fujian Province joined hands with its represented Koling of Spain, so did Yager with Hart Schaffner of USA, catching the eyes of the visitors with ease. Deshifeng, a well-known agent of ties, shirts and accessories made by Fendi, Givenchy and Ferre, attracted large numbers of visitors and reporters with its fancy exhibits. Pierre Cardin, Pelo, Gentle and other international brands exhibited with large booths. Pierre Cardin presented a feast of luxury with its latest suits, casual clothing, jeans and accessories.
The Session for Women • Kids • Accessories brought in over 600 exhibitors and 66,000 visitors, with the exhibit profile featuring classic Women’s Wear, Fashion Wear, Lady’s Wear, Children’s Wear, Knitwear, Underwear, Leathers & Fur. Well-known local exhibitors included Kaiser, Peace Bird, Just in Time, Claire and Warmthia, joined by many other international brands, including Bernard Poitou of France, Gabor of Germany, YK038 of Korea (with HUM and SATIN on the same booth) and Yedina of Hong Kong.
The Kids’ product area saw a rapid expansion in space. Disney and China’s Zhejiang Provinceorganized pavilions. Together with other brands, such as, Paclantic, Garfield, Shuihaier, Liguo, Infancee and Les enphants, they created a world for kids with clothing, shoes and necessities for different ages.
