Although the poor students of Dalian city heard about international famous Nike, they have never thought that they could own them. Dalian Charity Federation has made it possible.
The Federation organized a ceremony to donate Nike brand clothing to local poor students. A total of 9572 pieces worth RMB980,000 were collected out of which 6170 pieces donated to local poor college students and the rest 3402 were given to high-school students.
In July, 2006, the Nike has contributed around RMB2.09 million worth of clothes to Dalian city via American Charity Organization. A total of RMB1.106 million worth clothing was distributed to local 5075 poor students in November 2006.
