Sino-ASEAN free trade agreement has reduced tariffs on products, beginning from July 20, 2005. During 2006, Xiaoshan Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau issued 436 pieces of the preferential certificate of origin to 20 exporting companies from ten ASEAN nations. Tax rebate worth CNY10.51 million was obtained by this.
In order to get preferential tax rebate, Chinese goods exported to the ten ASEAN countries should possess a certificate of origin issued by the Bureau, as per the China-ASEAN Framework Agreement on comprehensive economic trade co-operation.
Xiaoshan city exports textiles, apparel, footwear, home appliances etc, in bulk to ASEAN nations and these products can enjoy the advantage of tax rebate. Enterprises should take the opportunity to make full use of preferential policies, so that there is growth in exports.
