Burundi opens pure cotton cloth market again

Write: Farfalla [2011-05-20]

At present, Burundi government removed statute for protecting original pure cotton cloth and opened pure cotton market again.

It is reported that the statute established by Burundi government is designed to prevent the close down of Bujumbura textile factory. However, due to low-level management and poor equipment, this factory was always in wane, even declined to hot water during recent months. Therefore, government decided to remove that statute and open pure cotton cloth again. The import pure cotton cloth sequestered by custom during 2004-2006 will also be returned to owners.
