Chinese to be global textile sourcing center invista

The leader in textile innovation--INVISTA will launch new fiber series in annual 2006 INVISTA Fashion Face-to-Face Fair , to help China's being international sourcing center, and also to meet the needs of high value-added products in the mainland market. The Fair will be held from 25 to 28 October 2006 in Shanghai.

Bill Ghitis, the president of global clothing department says that Chinese designers and manufacturers are becoming more stringent to the textile fabric, texture, and its function. "Innovation" has become INVISTA s strategy to meet consumers demand and to develop China's potential market.

Ghitis believes that with the abolition of the "Multi-Fiber Agreement", China has become a center for the procurement of raw materials. The challenge is to get out of the stranglehold of production bases, and to supply international customers with high value-added products.
