4th round of Sino-Pakistani trade zone talks ended

October 10-12, 4th round of Sino-Pakistani trade zone talks was held in Beijing. On the basis of the previous three rounds of talks, this round conducted deep discussions on market admittance, sanitary and phytosanitary step (SPS), trade relief, and investment etc, achieving positive progress.

Headed by Vice Minister of Commerce Yi Xiaozhun, Chinese delegation members are from the State Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Agriculture, General Administration of Customs and General Administration of Quality Supervision and so on. Pakistan delegation members include Pakistan's Ministry of Commerce, the Central Taxation Committee, the Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Textiles, and Investment Committee etc.

Pakistan is a friendly neighbor of China, in recent years, bilateral economic development is rather rapid. In 2005, bilateral trade volume reached 4.26 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 39% year-on-year. Sino-Pakistani cooperation is increasing on mutual investment too.
