The president of Pakistan Knitting Manufacturers Association said that Pakistan over 300 knitting factories will be stopped production due to increase cost of producing & importing material. He said that as the product with high adding value, knitting products is vital to Pakistan textile export industry that develops roughly and is facing the fierce competition from India, Bengal and China. The tax policy and policy for export in new finance budget have no real help to knitting and should be modified; else Pakistan knitting industry will face more difficulties and decline continually. Bilwani appeal to government to pay attention to industry s development and adopt more preferable policy .
