US & EU importers move away from Chinese textiles

Write: Sampson [2011-05-20]
Clothing importers from the USA and EU have shifted their orders to India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and other countries of South-East Asia.
This has caused effect on big as well as small clothing enterprises in Zhejiang province, which have lost their share.
The strategic shift is clearly seen during clothing expositions, where number of participants from US and EU has gone down. Moreover, it is difficult to negotiate with these foreign buyers.
The clothing export value of India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka is rapidly going up because these countries enjoy unlimited quotas.
