A very hot and dry pattern has been prevalent in Bozhou, Anhui province since May 27th. Despite the dry weather, crop conditions are basically normal. However, severe aphid disease and blight were widely noted in Linqing, where conditions are among the poorest in years. After some timely remedies, crops are currently developing well.
Market sources indicated that cotton enterprises are extremely sensitive to the 14,000 RMB/ton barrier for T328. It is regarded as the bottom line for any trade. This is also true in Linying, Henan province. At present, physical trade remain flat with prices basically unchanged. On June 12, T328 is quoted at 14,000 RMB/ton and T428 at 13,600 RMB/ton.
