The Spanish Pavilion at Fashion Access, Asia Pacific Leather Fair 2006 take place from 28th to 30th March,2006 at the Top Style Hall, Atrium 1, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This annual grand shoes expo, organized by the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade and The Spanish Trade Commission Hong Kong has become one of the major attractions of the whole fair. Over 20 exhibitors from Spain will also present the latest four leather footwear trends of Autumn-Winter 2006, whilst offering a perfect chance to get together with the manufactures and designers from Spain.
For the Autumn and Winter 2006, the latest collection of Spanish leather footwear will bring us to a world that is full of freshness and modern styles. Keeping in line with Spanish footwear s longstanding excellence in quality and craftsmanship, designers have let their imagination run wild and come up with a variety of innovative ideas. Glamorous and seductive, the design for the coming season can be defined in four major themes: Secrets, Charms, Codes and Spells.
SECRETS
It is a sense for wondering ; the colors used are full of contrast,with natural and enigmatic tones. In terms of materials, thick-grain country leather, matt snake and crocodile skin, metallic washed leather with a used look, printed nubuck and natural artificially creased texture waxed will bring out a sense of nostalgia and melancholy.
CHARMS
Designs inspired on the styles that were all rage in the 19th century. This style is elegant and luxury, but with echoes of mysticism. A great wealth of colors such as saffron, yellows and ochres emphasize the feeling of luxury. Leathers with long or short fur, smooth or printed, showing the luxurious times of Byzantium and Mongolia.
CODES
Spanish designers make use of pre-cubist geometry and numbers together with their extraordinary imagination as the design ideas. Combining ultra-colours with no-colour, it makes an stylish effect .Nubuck, creased patent leather, double-face leather together with modernist designs: pre-cubist geometry and numbers encode the individual in the surrounding urban and technological world. Models which are basic and practical , but also imaginative like square flat with lacing and enameled buckles. Predominance of court shoes, ankle boots and high boots for women.
