The first Prime Source is held in Hong Kong Exhibition & Conference Center on March.28,2006, this exhibition include four-days fair and two-days international apparel industry forum.
The forum which invite 26 leaders of apparel industry who are outstanding experts in apparel industry to deliver lecture attract 200famous apparel manufacturers , purchasers, retailers and suppliers from 20 countries.
The forum composed by six round tables mainly probe into the problems and the needs to constitute operation strategy again in global apparel industry after scrap of quota.(The schedule for forum appendix 1)
In first day, the meeting discuss several problems such as the influence of trade politics to industry, India the manufacture base outside China become one of important Asia purchasing venue and how to face changing purchase pattern for suppliers.
Former high-class vice-president of Liz Claiborne and president of US Association of Importers of Textiles and Apparel Mr. Robert Zane emphasize that one enterprise should choose right factory address on the demand of companys long-term development and strive to build straight-out relationship between factory and clients when he preside in second round meeting. "China is still a much attractive manufacture beachhead, however, we must think better of other choice."
In second day, The lecturer come from Hennes & Mauritz AB, Adidas and Tommy Hilfiger, the topic for discusstion include society liability, society rule, how to follow changeable fashion tide and how to shorten the time between producing and marketing.
