Beijing, CNCotton: According to NBS, MMF production recorded 1.6 mil tons in March 2006, up 10% from February and 20.29% higher than year ago level.
Combined production in Jiangsu and Zhejiang province totaled 1.12 mil tons, representing 70.2% of domestic total output in March. Zhejiang produced 584,900 tons, up 17.19% year on year and Jiangsu produced 534,900 tons, 20.88% above year ago level.
Cumulative September through March production now amounted to 10.53 mil tons, up 16.34% from the level of the corresponding period of previous season.
