During the Cotton Quality Inspection Reform Summit, some official claimed that new rules for ginnery certification and market management would be announced soon.
The National Development and Reform Commission has been working on these new rules since September last year, aiming to improve the reform for domestic cotton industry. It is said that new rules attach great importance to the inspection in cotton ginning. The previously issued ginning certificates will be available before the end of 2009. After the year of 2009, all ginneries must have relevant certifications. To get certifications, ginneries must participate in the reform program and renew their facilities
