Commerce Ministry continue to negotiate with EU for shoes anti-dumping case

The missionary in Commerce Ministry Press Office told to reporter :"The people from Fair Trade Bureau is negotiating with EU."

The media claim that at present, EU issue final document for anti-dumping investigation on China leather shoes to identify China shoes anti-dumping and it damage to EU and suggest to adopt "delay taxation"-anti-dumping measures mixing quota and tariff. When interviewed by reporter, Commerce Ministry Press Office identify this case.

It is known that the document show that EU suggests to provide China with common export quota of 0.14billion pairs shoes. Except Jinglv Shoes Industry Co. that imposed 9.7% anti-dumping tariff, other China enterprises should pay 23% tariff. The quota will be controlled by EU member countries and will be implemented from April.1; 2007.EU committee will make final decision on October.6.

At present, EU s anti-dumping on China shoes have entered into zero hour. Since implemented in April.6, EU's temporary tariff on part China leather shoes have been raised from 4.8% to 14.5%, and will reach 19.4% within elementary period of judgment.
