The director general of Ministry of Commerce of the People s Republic of China Bureau of Fair Trade for Imports and Exports Wang Shichun introduce in Fair Trade for National Import & Export held in July.20 that until now, China have launched 45 anti-dumping investigation including 139 ones according to WTO Stat. and one protection measures survey. These surveys involve chemical, light industry, textile, steel, electronic etc, total sum 7.3billion USD, covering 43 categories products. The anti-dumping stating enterprises expand over 20 provinces and cities in China.
Until the end of June, 2006, 110 cases among these anti-dumping investigation cases have been ended, The anti-dumping measures keep the trend of importing foreign products at low price and protect market order of fair competition, and major suffered industries improve its management status and upgrade core competition capability.
Recent years, China market open to outside continually and increase import, but the relevant inland industries still be impacted by unreasonable low price. With the increasing expanding of import scale, especially the finishing of transition for entering into WTO, trade relief measures will still be important manners to answer to foreign dumping and protect national industry security.
