Textile and garment manufacturers are under scrutiny of Quality Inspection Quarantine Bureau as the authority has issued GB18410 standard for basic technical critera for safety in manufacturing.
According to these standards, manufacturers have to ensure that formaldehyde content, PH, colour fastness, odour and dyeing are regulated.
The Bureau has compelled all textile units to follow these standards and the units have to give clear indication of GB18401 standard on labels of clothing and textile products.
Bureau has also appealed customers to check the mark of GB18401 before buying the products.
