During shift in the national industries, the textile and garment enterprises from southeast coast have chosen Jiangxi as their new habitat, so that Jiangxi has rose to be No.7 largest textile and garment production base in China in a few years.
The latest statistics from the Jiangxi Economic and Trade Committee says that the existing textile and garment enterprises are over 447, the industrial added value in 2005 was 5.2 billion, achieving textile and apparel exports of 735 million U.S. dollars, thus textile and apparel become the largest leading export products. From north to south, there are six major textile and garment industry cluster zones.
