Textile manufacturer, Tainan Spinning Co, also operates in Vietnam, likely to see 30 percent profit increment in 2006.

General Manager Hou Po-ming informed that the company s Vietnamese plant has brought considerable returns after its launch. It made a profit of NT $300 million (US $9.09 million) in 2005.

It has planned expansion on basis of the growing market through addition of 50,000 spindles which will be fully functional by this month. Hence the count of spindles in operation will increase to 340,000.

The company has decreased activity in Taiwan by bringing down monthly output of polyester yarn and fiber to 6,000 tons hence it has clear downfall in the second quarter of 2006.

It has witnessed profit after tax of NT $85.73 million (US $2.6 million) with earnings-per-share (EPS) of NT $0.06 million (US $0.002 million) in first six months of 2006. Humble gains are made by 160,000 spindles operated in Taiwan by Tainan.

He further said that as September is a junction for annual output of Taiwan s petrochemical trade, the last quarter of 2006 is crucial.
