With Shanghai as its center, East China has become China's strongest textile and shoes & hats & bags processing base, accounting for more than half of the country's output.
According to statistics, within 247 "billion turnover" markets of garment and shoes & hats, there are 119 in the eastern region, accounting for 48%; and the sale of eastern region reaches 76 billion yuan, accounting for 63% of the total amount of 120 billion.
In the Yangtze River Delta, a group of textile cities and characteristics towns are on the rise : Haining-China's textile industry city; Pinghu-China's export garment manufacturing city; Tongxiang Puyuan is the sweater town; Xiuzhou District is China's electrostatic flocking town.; Shanghai Jinshan Fengjing town is becoming one of the concentrated centers of domestic garment machinery and textiles.
