Yesterday, Lanxi City Economy & Trade Bureau disclosed that Lanxi City Textile Guild will be established on the middle of October formally. The first group of 112 enterprises--over 90% textile enterprises with big scale has joined the guild.
Textile Industry is one of six main industries in Lanxi and made great prosperous recent years. At present, there are total 700 textile enterprises including 89 ones with big scale. In 2005, textile industry generated 4.37billion Yuan, accounting for 21.9% of industry production value. The big-sized enterprises generated sale 2.9billion Yuan, 0.113billion tax. Textile guild has become the support industry to promoting Lanxi economy.
To accelerate the complete, harmonized and continual development of textile industry, Lanxi City began to establish textile guild since August. Now, it is applying for "China Lanxi Famous Textile City".
