Freudenberg Group began its business in China from 1980 in Hong Kong, as it opened the first non-woven material distribution company. In 1994, with its Japanese partners, they founded its first seal plant in Changchun. At present, Freudenberg Group has its own factories in China's Changchun, Wuxi, Dalian and other cities. Now the Shanghai Qingpu factory is under construction.
It is said that Freudenberg Group achieved sales revenues of 4.8 billion euros in the previous financial year. The Group s largest sales market is automobile manufacturing, accounting for 40% of sale. Other important markets include machinery and equipment manufacturing industry, textile and clothing industries, and construction industry.
