China is turning to Europe cashmere market

It is well-known that China toy, shoes and furniture have surged into EU. But now, China is transferring the attention to cashmere products which is only supplied by Western manufacturers before.

Without any competition, these cashmere garments were sold to retailers at 17.5Euro/piece--USD180Yuan/Piece. Organizers estimated that retailers will sell these products to consumers at 30-40Euro/piece

China cashmere products output accounts for 80% in world cashmere ones. The manufacturers for this 0.8billion Euro-value industry totals 3000 while the main manufacturing base is Mongolia. Previously. At past, China mainly supplies cashmere materials to Italia and Scotland. For example, France Eric Bompard--one dominant cashmere brand produces 0.4million pieces cashmere garments in China. But the interviewed vice-chairman of China Chamber of Commmenre for Import&Export Textile said:"Recent years, China turned to produce cashmere garments with hope to sell it in EU. EU market absorbed 20% of China cashmere products, US and Japan 80%. We plan to deal with franchised stores, not super markets. Besides, we tend to establish joint-venture company with EU cashmere magnates but won't open our own outlets in EU because we have little sense to EU market. "
