Footwear manufacturers of China are not going to file suit against anti-dumping duty imposed by European Union as it would be expensive and lengthy legal battle.

From October 7, European Union has imposed anti-dumping duty of 16.5 percent on leather shoes imported from China.

From over 1200 affected footwear manufacturers, only four are filing suit against anti-dumping duty in European Union courts.

Out of four firms filing suit, two are Zhejiang-based Aokang Group and Taima Shoes Group along with Guangdong-based Golden Step Industrial Co Ltd and Xinsheng Gangyuan Shoes Group.

According to industry sources, actions taken by European Union are not in accordance with the rules of the World Trade Organization and the convention of industry.
