Especially polythene fiber, carbon fiber, PTT, KEVLAR 1313, high capacity micro fiber play an important role in aviation field, war industry, special uniform field. However, China chemical fiber industry is lagged. In 2005, the average proportion of chemical fiber exceeds 60%. About 56.4%, 78% PTA, EG is imported for terylene production while 56.4%, 78% CPL, AV is exported for nylon production.
It is introduced that China will accelerate the admission of chemical fiber project to improve the self-producing rate of PTT, xylene, glycol etc and enhance the linkage with chemical fiber industry, promote the development of polyester, terylene industry.
