Sponsored by China National Textile and Apparel Council, jointly organized by the Sub-Council of Textile Industry of CCPIT, Messe Frankfurt Hong Kong and China Textile Information Center, Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics opened on October 26 in Shanghai as scheduled. It will last to October 29, 2005.
1530 exhibitors from 25 countries or regions appeared at the exhibition, among which 964 are from Mainland China and 567 from the overseas. The total exhibition area reaches 63,000 square meters, 36.96% larger than last year. Domestic exhibitors are from 22 provinces or regions, and overseas exhibitors are from 25 countries or regions, including Germany, Japan, South Korea, Italy, Thailand, Turkey, Portugal, and Pakistan etc.
Reported by the organization committee, it is not the first time for many international leaders attending the exhibition, like 3M, CCI, Dow Fiber Solutions, Hyosung, Lenzing Fiber, Swarovski, and Union Knopf.
W1 W5 in Shanghai New International Expo Center are all occupied and a temporary hall T is also in use. W1 and W2 are international while W3 to W5 are for Chinese exhibitors. All the booths are arranged based on the categories of exhibits, including cotton, linen, wool, chemical fiber, functional, knitting, embroidery and lace, accessories, CAD and media. In addition, display space for yarn is exploited this year in W5 where gathering a number of quality yarn producers.
Other than product display and trade negotiation, this year? event highlights expertise, technology exchange and information delivery. So there are 15 seminars in total running through the whole show time.
On October 26, the first day of the exhibition, it was only opened for the ?xclusive Buyers?who have special invitation and badge issued by the organization committee and exhibitors. Other buyers and visitors are accepted from 27th to 29th then. For this year, the organization committee strictly controlled the selecting procedures. Only those reputed candidates in database with high quality and specialty could be invited to enjoy the first day service.
Over the 10 consecutive successful years, with year-on-year growth on exhibitor number and exhibition scope, Intertextile has won extensive recognition from all the walks in the industry.
