The statistic from Guangdong Custom shows that Guangdong garment & accessory export value revenue for 2006 reached 28.17billion USD, increased by 78% than 2005, accounting for 29.6% of total garment export value revenue, up 8.2% than last year. The export value and increasing rate recorded a high point.
Following with fist distribution and public bidding of quota for exporting textile to EU & US, the second quota distribution and public bidding will be finished in March,2007. However, during reporter’s visiting to garment enterprise, the increasing textile quota price is blow to export enterprises.
The experts analyzed that the continual RMB appreciation contributed to increasing quota price. The anticipated RMB appreciation will be a fatal strike to small-sized enterprises, said inners of textile field. So the textile export will face a confused circumstance and may not see a rising rate of 15%--20% in 2007.
It is forecasted by inners that the quota price may be increased by 10%--20%.
