There are a great number of garment enterprises in Dongguan, but majority of them specialized in produce low-class garment. However, the news from Dongguan City Textile & Garment Association and Dongguan Economy & Trade Bureau that a fundamental change is coming to Dongguan fashion market since 2007: the proportion of middle class garment and high class one will be 25:45 instead of 10:25, so middle-class garment will has a bigger scale than low-class one for the first time. In addition, to improve the quality average of garment, Dongguan city government is planning to build one-two national research & development center and embark on authentication of the opening of technique center of big-sized enterprises.
