Last month, officials of Chengdu city have signed a cooperation agreement with Russia, wherein shoe making enterprises from the city will take part in ‘Moscow International Shoes Fair’ twice every year.
This has enabled the shoes of Chengdu to enter Russian market and recently local enterprises have received over US $10 million worth of orders from here.
Chengdu is known as ‘China Women-shoes City’ as there are over 1700 women-shoes manufacturers, with a yearly production value of RMB15 billion. About 70 percent of these shoes are exported across the world, of which 50 percent is sold to Russia.
Companies from America, France and other countries are also taking interest and visited the shoes companies of Chengdu city in this year.
