Beijing Industry and Commerce Bureau recently revealed that there were atleast 25 categories of unqualified clothing in all big marketplaces of Beijing city, including Wal-mart.
Wal-mart insisted that all unqualified clothing had the certificates of quality eligibility issued by the related government departments. Company stressed that sale of all uncertified clothing had been stopped.
They had also inspected all the brands in question again. Wal-mart explained that the suppliers didn’t strictly control their products’ quality, but they could supply the certificates of quality eligibility, and scrutinizing each piece of clothing, was impossible.
Wal-mart promised that, after the related governments have further investigated this matter, they would give more detailed explanation.
