China Clothing & Textiles Expo 2007, Melbourne, Australia

"Clothing & Textiles Expo" is an annual event organized by China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles (CCCT), and has been consecutively held for six times, first in Sydney (2001, 2002) then in Melbourne (2003,2004,2005,2006) of Australia. The expo has been targeting at Australasian market with middle to high standard textiles and clothing. The previous expo attracted a lot of attention in Australian textile and clothing industry and in the media. Mr. Edward Gough Whitlam, former Australian Prime Minister, and Mr. Gao Hucheng, vice-minister of China Ministry of Commerce, are among the distinguished visitors.

The Expo features more than 100 textiles and clothing suppliers with outstanding manufacturing capacity and reputation. Most of them are from major textile and clothing producing areas in China, some are from other Asian countries such as India, Pakistan. Many manufacturers from Turkey, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Taiwan have shown great interests in joining this expo; the show is quickly becoming a major professional textile and clothing trade show in Australia and Asian area.

The exhibition area of the Expo reaches more than 4500 square meters. Exhibiting products include showcase garments, sportswear, beachwear, evening dress, fabrics, home textiles and fashion accessories. Some renowned Chinese brands such as Cathaya, Erdos, Sainty, Youngor and Silique have shown their designs and fashions at the Expo.

This year there will be more than 100 exhibitors from China and other countries to participate the Expo. It is a great opportunity for Australian importers, retailers and wholesalers to see at first hand a wide range of selection of clothing, fabrics, home textiles and accessories of the highest quality.
