After three months of comprehensive research and statistics collection, the Top 50 “Most Competitive Enterprises in Global Market of China 2007” are officially published and Weiqiao Textile ranks No. 27 as the only enterprise from the textile industry in China.
The project was collectively organized by “Global Entrepreneur” magazine and Rolandberger the world famous strategic consulting company, with Sina Finance and Economic Channel as the only network supporter.
The project is the first of its type that reflects the survival and competition abilities of Chinese enterprises in a time of globalization. It mainly examines their overseas performance, sustained global competitiveness and cross-cultural management while witnessing and recording their difficult transformation from a “domestic company” to an “international company”. Enterprises participating in the project covered all state-owned, private and all model enterprises that have established their headquarters in China.
Weiqiao Textile Company Limited is a non state-owned enterprise and is principally engaged in the production, sale and distribution of cotton yarn, grey fabric and denim. The Company is the largest cotton textile producer in China.
