According to relative statistics, the area under mulberry rises by 120 thousand mus or 4 percent up from last spring;spring silkworm rearing volume reaches 1.02 million boxes, up by 5 percent over same period last year;Spring silkworm cocoon output reaches 46,000 tons, almost same as last spring;crop yield per box is 45 kg, down by 6 percent compared to last spring; Average purchasing price is around, 1000 yuan, 20 percent below last spring levels;Silkworm raisers earning reaches 0.92 billion RMB Yuan ( 107 thousand US dollars), down by 21 percent compared to same period last year.
