Recently, 8 garment enterprises of Yiwu city participated in the Germany Dusseldorf International Clothing Exposition, one of the biggest clothing fair in the world. They exhibited seamless underwear, shirts, socks and other latest designs in the clothing sector.
However, of the many grades that the European market is divided into, the 8 Chinese clothing firms mainly aimed at the middle grade market as a way to enter Europe. This was because though both the low and middle grade markets are huge, profits in the former is too thin.
Each enterprise, therefore, reaped big returns from the sale of their clothes since they were well-received by European purchasers.
Germany Dusseldorf International Clothing Exposition, which started in 1949, is held twice every year. The exposition brings together the best in fashion trends from across the globe.
Looking at the grand success of the Chinese enterprises in the European market, the International Commerce Chamber of Yiwu city has decided to promote garments of local clothing enterprises in other international clothing fairs like American Las Vegas International Clothing Fair and Hongkong Underwear and Swimwear Fair.
