In order to increase their product value and grade, more than ten clothing enterprises in Shishi city are importing high quality fabric mainly from Korea, Italy, Japan and Kenya.
Recently, a clothing company from here inked a long-term fabric supplying agreement with a Korean company. The prices of Korean fabric are approximately 50 yuan per meter, which is four times higher than cloth made in Shishi.
Authorities of the city said that such deals would prove helpful in upgrading quality of clothing, improve its level as well as add value in the international market.
However, experts believe that with this, local enterprises should now pay heed to manufacturing top-grade fabric, so that it can fulfill domestic needs as well as play a part in the international market.
