The 13th China International Chemical Fibre Meeting, which will be held in Shaoxing County from September 13-14, will discuss 'environmental protection, resource, innovation and development' as its main theme.

The meeting aims to urge Chinese chemical fibre enterprises to pay attention to environmental protection and study the technology and experience of enterprises of developed countries.
The country has invested little as far as R&D in environmental protection is concerned. Even the technology that companies follow is outdated, thereby restricting the growth of local chemical fibre industry.
Keeping in mind the fact that China's oil and land resources are scarce and that the country has a shortage of chemical fibre raw materials, the conference will thrash out ways for the industry to change its production structure and adopt the latest technological means to increase output.
