The China Textiles and Clothing Exposition held from September 19 to 21 in Tokyo, was organized by China National Textiles Import and Export Corporation (Chinatex).
The main aim of the event was introduce Chinese textile products in the upper and middle grade market of Japan. A fashion show was also arranged by few clothing enterprises during this expo. Trading companies and textiles exporters across Japan visited the fair.
Over 150 Chinese enterprises took part in this exposition, which covered an area of around 3000 square meters. Few of the participating companies have a yearly turnover of over US $100 million from exports to Japan. As it is observed that product quality of these companies has improved remarkably.
In the past, because of poor image regarding quality in the international market, prices of Chinese products were low compared to other countries. However, now, with better product quality, firms have been able to get higher prices and again got back their lost position in the global markets.
