Recently, Qingdao city issued results of alkaline test of clothing where in, it is found that about 60 percent children wear contain high pH.
A total of 19 batches of children clothing were examined, among them 12 batches were disqualified because of high pH. Some had pH content as high as 9.5. Professionals believe that dyeing paint used in these kids wear has high alkaline. These can prove harmful for the child’s skin.
Experts pointed out that clothing and textiles manufactured by small Chinese clothing factories mostly contained too high pH.
After this incident, the Government of Qingdao city has prohibited stores to sell disqualified clothing and textile products and the customers who have already brought these are asked to return them.
