Results in growth of cotton yarn, fabric and made-ups has been encouraging and commensurate of the record investment in cotton textiles industry of China.
With the eighth successive month of double-digit expansion in output, October registered 24.15 percent growth. Monthly production actually dropped only once in the past two years.
October production of 1.686 billion square meters was the highest registered since the record 1.854 billion square meters output in June. Cotton fabric continues to retain its market share.
Rise in production has been propelled by growth in production facilities at Shandong, Jiangsu, Hubei and Guangdong provinces.
From January to October, cumulative cotton fabric production reached 15.810 billion square meters, a 29.9 percent increase year-on-year basis.
