China : Inefficient consumption law upsets consumers

While a perpetual conflict between Chinese customers and dealers is still creating havoc, a new problem of ambiguous and inefficient Chinese consumption law has taken its toll on the textile consumer market.
Only a few cities like Shanghai have detailed regulatory provisions, which are in any case applicable only to the concerned area.
Customers in general feel harassed since Chinese consumption laws do not clearly state any clause pertaining to exchange or returns of products.
Besides, even the Government of China does not have any record of laws dealing with exchange or return of inferior quality merchandise and this undoubtedly creates problem for consumers.
