Struggle with hardship for ten years, Succeed in being the winner

-----Ten years’ development of Peiying

Just as Gong Zuolin, the deputy secretary of Heyuan Municipal CPC Committee and Secretary-General, said that Peiying Garment Co., Ltd. grows up from scratch, from small to large, from tradition to modern times, even goes abroad today. Secretary Gong generalized the hardly course into four words -- “working, wisdom, kindheartedness and innovation”.

1. The course of hard working

With reform activities impacting on the entire Guangdong land, a resplendent star of apparel industry began to rise. In 1991, a couple joined the gold rush, where they took pains to work under incredible pressure through years. Eventually, Ye Peiwen became the chairman of Peiying Garment Co., ltd. and Guo Wanying the general manager. To them, all the bitterness and pressure they’ve experienced were in the past, since their initial goal has gradually realized under their hard working.

2. The course of wisdom

In 1996, the first factory was established due to the couple’s sensible foresight and courage, which was specialized in work uniforms, students’ uniforms for primary, secondary and kindergartens schools as well as common staff uniforms. With their great wisdom, they started a new career mainly in uniform processing. During the course, they were never discouraged by the tiring trivial details and great competition of the apparel industry. Instead, they intensified efforts to develop products, and continuously improve their technological content. As a result, their “Yucai Students Uniforms” won laureation in the first National Review of Students Uniforms: two second prizes, four third prizes, two Excellence Awards, etc. Also, highly valued remarks were gained. They further firmed up the steps toward the apparel industry.

Guangdong Heyuan City Peiying Garment Co., Ltd. registered as an enterprise in 2004. It developed from a uniform processing workshop to a company setting design, research, production and sales as one and of whose annual production reaches 2 million. Additionally, it is equipped with highly efficient ERP digital management system as well as strict quality management system. Under the firm tenet of “Quality goes first in the development of an enterprise”, the company obtained certification of ISO9001: 2000 international quality management system in July, 2005, and has been granted by the government departments “Credit Enterprise” in consecutive five years.

Just as the old saying that preparedness ensures success, unpreparedness spells failure, the couple realized that further development requires them building brand, increasing value-added products and improving competitiveness.

In 2007, the company officially launched brand strategic objectives and series products of Peiying, Dillon Dudd, Yucai brands were promoted. Peiying brand is mainly of women’s wear, Dillon Dudd men’s casual wear and Yucai sports wear and all kinds of uniforms. During that period, advanced production lines were also brought in from countries, like Italy, German and Japan. And 5,000 sets of production line from Japan have been put into production. In July, after carefully plotting and organizing, the first domestic flagship store opened impressively in Heyuan, Guangdong. And in May, 2007, in order to develop international business, Peiying International Group (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. was founded in Hong Kong, which lays the foundation to build international brand.

3. The course of Kindheartedness

In many years’ development, the company has created a unique enterprise culture, and to build up a power mixing with enterprise culture and entrepreneurial spirit for staffs. The company esteems employees, exerts itself to foster excellent staffs and takes the principle of using talents’ advantages. So employees can live cozily, eat well and work happily there. The High & Innovative Industrial Zone has been carried in 2007. There has dormitory, couple room, air-condition room, manufacture building, office building, basketball court, badminton courts, staff canteen, employees’ training centers, karaoke room and Fitness Center. Who improves the agglomeration of staffs and the core competitiveness of company? It’s the people-oriented business model.


The company also clearly recognizes that the growth in each step can not be separated from the public’s concern and help. When the general manager of the company -- Guo Wanying finished the activity of poverty relief in the countries of GuangxiProvince, she said the company can not do without the society, and she should return the community. So over the years the company has been involved in the government and other partners to financing school construction, to assist the affected residents, poverty-stricken households and childless elders. In order to do a better job for charitable work, in the September 28, 2007 the company has formally established a "Peiying Garment Co., Ltd. Charitable Funds".

4. The course of Innovation

People always say that R & D design is the soul of the successful apparel brand, but the soul of R & D design is innovation. Its innovative internal management makes it developed steadily in these years and adapt to the regular changes of modern market. The construction of a modern enterprise system, stable companies’ backbone team, and the scientific enterprise employment system and distribution mechanism are all the results of the company’s management innovation. At the same time, enterprises establish a management platform which takes information-based management and business process reengineering as a primary means, so that the company can walk on the continued development road.
