Hong Kong : TDC Design Gallery to promote original Qee design

Design Gallery has the perfect stocking stuffer for Christmas
a specially designed version of Qee Bear. The DG Qee Bear set, created by Raymond Choy, includes a silver figure and three key chains in fuchsia, black and silver.
Mr Choy’s cooperation with Design Gallery marks the first time the internationally acclaimed designer and founder of Toy2R has worked with a public organisation.
“The distinctive features of DG Qee Bear highlight the characteristics of Design Gallery – stylish, energetic and original,” said Mr Choy.
“The bird-like orange and white logos printed on Qee Bear’s body resemble the flying form of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.”
Design Gallery Manager Frances Leung said that the Qee Collection is one of the Design Gallery’s most popular items, with about 5,000 Qee figures sold in the past 15 months.
“We strive to promote original design in Hong Kong. Through this partnership, we hope more young consumers and overseas buyers will become familiar with Design Gallery and the Qee Collection.”
From December 1, 2007, customers can redeem any of the four DG Qee Bears at half price with a single purchase of HK$300 or more at either of Design Gallery’s two shops.
