A continued weaker tone is being noted in Xinjiang’s local prices. Late this week, Xinjiang ginners further cut prices in order to stimulate offtake. T229 prices are now offered at 14,000 yuan per ton, which is down from 14,100 yuan earlier in the week. T328 offering prices are holding for now. Most ginners are holding offering prices of ELS T137 at 19,350; but by December 4, a few ginners were offering down to 19,000 yuan per ton. The major mill buyers are indicating that they would be willing to buy at 18,000 to 18,500 yuan per ton. T237 ELS prices are now offered at 18,250 by some ginners, while most offers remain at 18,600 yuan per ton. Weakness in linter prices has also been noted.
