Yapu company from central China's Anhui province would hold 55 percent shares of the joint factory, while Colombia's GIRAM company and GBA company would hold the rest 45 percent.
With an investment of about 10 million U.S. dollars, the bamboo plant would be set up in Quindio province of central-west Colombia, which is abundant in bamboo.
It would use equipment and technology from Yapu and local bamboo resources to make bamboo products, which are to be sold to local and U.S. markets.
The plant would occupy a land of over 30,000 square meters and each year produce up to 100,000 square meters of bamboo floorboards.
Colombia officials said the joint factory would provide about 350 jobs for locals.
