Thematic Areas Feature new direction Taiwan furniture:
Outreaching with Eco-tech & new Blue Ocean design
Welcome to the new age of Taiwan furniture where a table is no longer just a table, but a creation that embraces a whole new list of variables. The traditional pricing range has given way to function, materials, creativity, refinement, and integration complemented by brand name and serviceability.
TiFS 2008 features innovative furniture of revolutionary materials and novel ideas, including the green, environmentally friendly, sustainable works found in the “Environmental Protection Area” (Named the “LOHAS – Life of Health and Sustainability” area).

LOHAS is composed of 15 leading manufacturers including Islandwoods Green Plus International. Most participants are Taiwan Green Marked manufacturers who showcase their unique-styled furniture and home decorations made of excellent-quality natural, synthetic, and recyclable healthy building materials.
Also at the venue will be a display of “Environmentally-Friendly Homes” that combine energy-saving lighting, environmentally-friendly furnishings, environmentally-friendly building materials and healthy home supplies.
It is estimated that this show will serve as a platform to interested buyers from European and American countries in purchasing the high-quality, reasonably-priced, and green marked furniture of domestic manufacturers.
Taiwan Furniture with Asian characteristics!
Don’t be surprised if you notice strong traces of Oriental cultural traits with many exhibits. That’s the rapidly emerging design trend which has been picked up on by many crafters. That message is best conveyed at the “Oriental Design with a Taiwanese Attitude Zone” that consists of the “Taiwan Thematic Creativity” and “Taiwan Home Furnishings” sections.
The “Taiwan Thematic Creativity” was designed by Mr. Yu-Tsung Hu, Creative Director at the NDD Design Group and they feature the works of 26 designers who have enriched the Taiwan cultural experience and character.
