The drop marks that the growth of textile trade surplus has entered a decline cycle attributed to environment changes both at home and abroad.
The textile trade surplus began to mount up in 2000 with an annual rise of less than 20 per cent and sped up from 2003, when the figure hit 23.76-33.44 per cent annually.
