Georgia can be a new route for Chinese textile to enter European Markets as Irakli Chogovadze, Georgian Minister of Economic Development offers China to participate in production and construct textile factories in Georgia.

This is a good opportunity for china to evade EU impositions on Chinese textile products as Georgia enjoys GPS+ regime with EU, which has exempted 7000 brands under this scheme, Chinese media quoted the minister as saying.

The minister offered to construct textile factories in Georgia for refinery of Chinese semi-finished products that would be exported to European markets without any restrictions under the label of ?ade-in-Georgia?

The aim of this visit is to form long-term relationship and to negotiate the profitable economic issues for both sides, Valeri Chechelashvili, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia said.

Georgia's commercial ties with European Union and Commonwealth of Independent States would enable China to export goods using Georgia's ports.
