Brazilian shoe export revenue increased by 3 percent in first quarter of the year compared to same period last year.
Brazil shoe factories recorded a turnover of US $502 million with foreign market during first three months of this year compared to turnover of $489.4 million recorded during corresponding period of previous year.
Brazilian Association of Shoe Manufacturers (Abical?dos) said this performance was due to increase in average price of a pair sold at $ 8.74, valued at 7 percent higher than last year.
The export volume of shoes during first quarter dropped 4 percent to about 57.4 million pairs of shoes.
