The US Customs reports that 2.256 billion meters of fabric was imported during the first quarter this year, representing a 3.74 percent year-on-year drop.
Import value price was pegged at $1.323 billion with an average price of $0.58 per square meter, recording a decline of 5.99 percent and 2.3 percent, respectively.
China topped as exporter of fabrics to the US with 359 million meters accounting for $194 million, representing 10.6 and 17.2 percent year-on-year growth, respectively, and making up for almost 14.7 percent share in the US market, Customs revealed.
