Textile manufacturers with an eye toward Southern China's garment producing hub are gearing up for the latest Intertextile Pavilion at the Shenzhen International Trade Fair for Apparel Fabrics and Accessories. The show will take place 10 - 12 July 2008 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Centre in Shenzhen, China.
Intertextile Pavilion is a special event that allows textile manufacturers a direct opportunity to meet thousands of garment producers in the industry-rich region of Southern China.
As China's domestic economy heats up and consumers demand better and higher quality fashions, thousands of local garment manufacturers - including several hundred with their own brands - are demanding better quality ladieswear and other fabrics, particularly from around the world.
Some of the textile suppliers taking advantage of the demand and attending Intertextile Pavilion this year include the Japanese companies Kokka, Takisada-Nagoya, Takisada-Osaka, Sunwell and Union Design.
In addition, the Tokyo Textile Fabric Wholesaler's Association will return after a successful year in 2007. Textile producers of ladieswear will also attend from Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Ideal time and place for Southern China trade:
Shenzhen is one of China's most international trade destinations. Located on the border of Hong Kong, the area is part of a special economic zone and is one of China's key clothing-making areas.
The province Guangdong, which includes Shenzhen, accounts for one third of all the clothing made in China. Intertextile Pavilion allows textile manufacturers from around the world effortless access to manufacturers in this high-potential area. In 2007, nearly 7,000 trade buyers attended.

July is a pivotal period in Shenzhen for the textile trade. With the Shenzhen International Trade Fair for Apparel Fabrics and Accessories, two other major trade shows will take place: The 8th China (Shenzhen) International Brand Clothing & Accessories Fair, and the 2008 Shenzhen International Maternity and Clothing Expo.
The three events will bring together buyers and sellers from around the region and up and down the supply chain, creating an extra value for Intertextile Pavilion participants.
